Hi,
This is going to be a bit of a rant
I have recently applied to University, and although going to uni will allow me to achieve my dream job, I can't believe the amount of stress that the government put us under in order to make sure we fit their 'description' of a perfect university student.
As well as writing one page of A4 which defines whether the uni's give you an conditional offer or not, I have to go to interviews, 5 all around the country which puts a cost on me, in terms of petrol, as well as moving me away from the ever increasing in diffucultly exams and coursework. It is a balancing act that is a recipe for failure.
At the end of the day, if I get to university I know it will be worth the struggle, as it will allow for me to become a primary school teacher, but what will this entail in the future. What amount of children will still be interested in learning, or will they be more interested in their games or TV shows to do anything educational, I guess the future will tell.
We are growing up very quickly, in this dangerous generation with war becoming more and more likely with Seria, in order to back up France which could leave in terrorist threats in the UK much like the Paris attacks which shocked the world in November. I know we often hear about shootings on the news, but this seemed real to me, it scared me how innocent people were killed without a second thought by these monstorous humans, and how they could strike again soon, and London seems like a possible target.
All in all, the world is a very scary place to be growing up in right now, but I am so fortunate for my biggest issues being my history coursework and whether I get a university place or not.
Speak soon,
Lucy xoxo
